Personal
Single — Go involved in rodeo at age 3 because her father, FC Stover, was a tie-down roper. She has one brother and one sister. — In 2001, her horse Bo was diagnosed with a torn suspensory ligament near his front ankle and was out of competition for nearly a year. As a result a fellow barrel racer, Peyton Raney, offered to let Stover use her horse Nate Shilabur (Hot Shot) for the remainder of the year. Stover went on to win a world title that year. After the 2001 Wrangler NFR, Hot Shot was sold to an 11-year-old Oklahoma cowgirl. … Stover became the oldest WPRA world champion in 2001. She was 47 years old. … In 2003, Bo reinjured the ligament and Stover was on the sideline the rest of the year. Bo went through six month of rehab and is back to try it in 2004. … Her regular work out routine consists of five days walking and riding and three days of weight training.
